I have been fascinated by patterns for I feel we are patterned beings in a pattered universe. To honour diverse ways we live and make meaning I explored archetypes and mythology to perceive patterns in the collective unconscious and their expression within our psyches, society and media.

First year students of Rijn IJssel Dancer Creative Contemporary were introduced to familiarize themselves with Carl Gustav Jung’s archetypes to discover their unconscious personal myth which currently lives in themselves. Thereby, students were challenged to step out of their comfort zone, shifting their mind-set and to engage with their own theatrical persona on stage.
